Camino Portuguese - Day 3
Barcelos to Nabais 28km
We were a bit tired and sore when we arrived in Barcelos yesterday.
It was a warm day for walking however surprisingly how good you feel after a shower, rest and a good meal.
A beautiful night in Barcelos with one of the nicest meals I've had in ages at a lovely restaurant called Babette.
We headed off a little before 7am today and have covered 13km and have just stopped for a breakfast break.
We thought about walking to Ponte de Lima today but decided to take 6 km off this day and add it to the next. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.
A few pilgrims on the walk today. Some were taking 4 weeks and walking just a few km a day. Others were putting in some big kms. Every person has their own way.
Today's walk was lovely. Along some flat roads then up some hills only to have to descend what you've climbed. All in all we have had a great day. Even though we have trained prior to this I feel each day feels easier than the day before.
We have arrived at our Albergue so a rest, shower and dinner is on order as well as a nice cold beer.
