Be sure to have eyes on your drone at all times. I had a couple friends assisting with this flight, located at different places along the route to have eyes on the drone at all times, as well as relaying that information back to me in real time.

If your going to do these types of tests, be safe, be smart and be respectful of others in the area. Take your time and prepare for these types of flights and do not overlook anything ... Pay attention to detail.

Map out your flight path
Check wind patterns
Map out emergency landing areas
Set a realistic and responsible battery percentage turn around point
Be disciplined with your flight plans
Inspect your Drone & Batteries twice, for any damage or abnormalities
Setup spotters along your flight path if possible


Also ... don't forget to notify your local flight towers in the area, should you be anywhere close to an airport. This would include your locally, private owned airports. DO NOT put your drone in the air if your are around a major, international airport or heliport.
