The world has started to see in the New Year with thousands of revellers in Auckland, New Zealand, gathering to watch a spectacular fireworks display.
The country rung in in 2025 with a stunning light show in the city at 11am GMT. Celebrations are set to kick off shortly in Australia, where most major cities including Sydney and Melbourne will mark the New Year just after 1pm GMT.
