11/22/22 Railfanning Carlsbad Village Feat. NCTC 2306 Returning to service, NCTC 3001, Amtrak & More

Описание: In this video, NCTC 2306 made its return to revenue service after being OOS for 6 years. NCTD used 2306 as their PTC test cab for several years in Stuart Mesa w/ sand bags inside the coach to use as "people" to weigh the train down to test. Then NCTD decided to overhaul 2306 in the beginning of 2022 and now they gave LEDs instead of the regular Halogen lights that every other Cabcar has. With the new LEDs, when the ditch lights are activated, the lights stay on unlike on chargers where they shut off when one side of the ditch lights flash. 2306 did also unfortunately get a new raised letter K5LA and no longer has its old hybrid K5LA.
