First Time Camping On The River Alone (Until I Wasn’t) | Road to Dispersed ⛺️

Описание: First time camping alone on the river? That's exactly what this was. I headed deep into the Oregon Coastal Range to camp solo along the Nehalem River at Spruce Run Campground in Clatsop State Forest. No host. No reservations. Just me, the river, and a chance to see if I could handle being completely alone.

After having my gear stolen earlier this year, I've been slowly rebuilding my confidence—one campground at a time. This trip was another step toward my goal of dispersed camping in Washington and Oregon.

Spoiler: for a few hours, I was alone. Until I wasn't.

📍 Spruce Run Campground | Clatsop State Forest | Nehalem River, Oregon Coastal Range
🌲 Deep forest camping, no host, total solitude (for a while)
🔥 Fire building with wet wood (yes, the same logs from my last trip)
🍳 New frying pan after forgetting my cast iron at home

👉 Same wet wood from the last two trips, finally drying out in my car
👉 Hatchet skills (still a work in progress)
👉 New water jug with soap dispenser (replacing the stolen one)
👉 Jalapeño mango chicken sausages (highly recommended!!)
