Johnson consistently improved her game after each season at Young Harris. After averaging 13.5 points and 10.7 rebounds per game her junior season, she increased those averages to 18.1 points and 13.2 rebounds per game her senior season. She also got to the free throw line more often her senior season and increased her free throw percentage from 57.4 percent her junior season to 72.0 percent her senior season.

Rebounding is a skill that you cannot teach. It is a mentality of go get the ball and that is exactly what Mackenzie does night in and night out. She averaged 13.2 rebounds and was third in the country in that category, so she fills an immediate need on our team.

Mackenzie worked very hard to become the player that she is today. She improved each season and led Young Harris to the PBC championship game and was honored by being named an All American. She has a tremendous work ethic and as successful as she was these past 4 years, she continues to have the desire to push herself to new heights.


Mackenzie play her final year at Mercer were she avg 9.9 and 6.2 per game. Leading the Bears on and off the court.
