To make the lateral details of the future basket, I wrapped 10 cm wide newspaper strips with a wooden stick.
I cut an oval shape from cardboard and wrapped newspaper tubes around it gluing together with glue (for paper).
At the bottom of the form I glued 6 tubes, then I continued to stick the tubes in a circle.
Even lower, also added 6 tubes and again braided around, in shape, so that the lower part was larger than the upper.
There are two such details.
I glued them together with tubes, horizontally, and between them weaved them with tubes through one.
I mixed acrylic paint, water and acrylic varnish and painted the entire surface of the basket.
Let it dry.
Instead of acrylic paint, you can use gouache.
