Over a decade later, K-On is still regarded as one of the best slice of life anime of all time. This status comes from its laid back and simplistic approach to the character’s lives, as the lives they lead are rather simple. K-On’s ability to make that simplicity interesting is one of the series’s greatest strengths, along with animation, theming, and musical storytelling.
