This is the 2nd lecture on History of English Literature. In the first lecture, the resource person have discussed the first phase of English literature that is Anglo-Saxon period from 450 to 1066. In this lecture, the resource person has discussed the 2nd phase of English literature - Anglo-Norman Period that is from 1066 to 1500. This age is also known as Middle English period, Dark Ages or Medieval Period. The age of Chaucer also comes under the umbrella of Anglo-Norman Period. Explicitly, in this lecture, the resource person has discussed the development of English language, important writers and English literature produced during Anglo-Norman Period.
