MONO COUNTY, CA — This video shows the eviction of a bushy-tailed woodrat, a species unique to this region. She had found a vulnerable spot in the home’s foundation and dug through to the subfloor.
We installed a “carpet” of hardware cloth and a one-way door to let her out — but she had other plans. She pushed the door so hard it jammed in place. The following night, we adjusted the setup and successfully completed the eviction.
