Michael West, Head of Thought Leadership at The King's Fund, England, gave a plenary presentation on February 23 at Quality Forum 2018. In his talk, he focused on the value of compassionate leadership for fostering environments that support staff and patients.
Michael has authored, edited or co-edited 20 books and has published over 200 articles for scientific and practitioner publications, as well as chapters in scholarly books. The focus of his research over 30 years has been culture and leadership in organizations, and team and organizational innovation and effectiveness, particularly in relation to the organization of health services.
