Currently, there are no US aircraft carrier strike groups in the Middle East. Previously, the USS Abraham Lincoln conducted routine operations in the South China Sea. This group consists of a supercarrier, 3-6 destroyers, 1-2 submarines, 7,000-8,000 troops, and 65-70 F-35 and F/A-18 aircraft.
