ARCHIVAL RELEASE, a performance retrospective series
Episode 5: « Daily Life » & « Death and Dying » from Our Town, by Austin Leung
In this fifth episode of HKNME's ARCHIVAL RELEASE series, we have the pleasure of showcasing a work by the home-grown Hong Kong composer, Austin Leung.
Based on the 1938 three-act play of the same name by Thornton Wilder, Leung's « Our Town », cast in three separate "acts", is a musical response / elaboration on the various scenes from the stage work.
The first and third "acts" are premiered here, as part of the Modern Academy II Concert Series.
