The controversy started when a woman from the Scheduled Caste (SC) community was appointed as a helper. In a display of deep-rooted casteism, villagers have stopped sending their children to the center for nearly three months, depriving them of food and basic education.
Mallikarjun Kharge slammed this behavior, stating it is a direct violation of Articles 14, 15, and 17 of the Indian Constitution. He has called for central intervention to tackle this "shameful" discrimination in the 21st century.
