In the first episode of the Hyderabad to Ooty series, we travel from Hyderabd to Ooty with a night stay at Howard Johnson Hotel in Hebbal, Bengaluru.
Road from Hyderbad to Bengaluru on day 1 was in excellent conditions via the NH 44.
On day 2 from Bengaluru to Ooty, we took the road via Mysore expressway to Gundlupet, then via Bandipur and Madumalai Tiger Reserve to Ooty using the 36 hair-pin bends road.
We stayed at Aster Villa in Balacola, which is an excellent Airbnb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the property. This is definitely recommended if you are looking for an off-beat location in Ooty.
