This month, we have three speed talks from Kevin Darras, Vanessa Prema, Timothy Keitt, and a long talk from Roxanne Beltran and Allison Payne.
Kevin Darras kicks things off by introducing Worldwide Soundscapes, a collaborative network and growing database comprising metadata from 416 datasets. Vanessa Prema shares her project advancing machine learning techniques for the study of Himalayan bird song. Timothy Keitt tells us about BioSense, an automated sensing node for organismal and environmental biology. Finally, Roxanne Beltran and Allison Payne introduce novel acoustic recorders for eavesdropping on the ocean soundscape.
