Last month Melbourne teen Anathan Pham won more than $4 million at the world’s richest esports tournament.
But he’s just one of many people making it big playing video games. With professional teams, elite-leagues, regular seasons and multi-million dollar prize pools, this billion-dollar industry is fast shaking off perceptions that gaming is child’s play.
