"I see myself as a victim of a society that wanted me to become something that I wasn't, instead of embracing my personality." I suppose it could be said that this is Elliphant – and many others across the globe, for that matter – in a nutshell, but even then we'd only be barely scratching the surface. I caught up with the Swedish singer, who stars in Apple's new iPad campaign, prior to her sold-out show with Charli XCX and FEMME at Lincoln Hall in Chicago for my first interview on KarmaloopTV's behalf.

During our candid conversation, we discussed the former breakfast pioneer's line from her single "Down on Life" about spider eggs growing out of her ears, which it turns out was inspired by a recurring nightmare she was having ("I think it's the bullsh*t, that's what it represents – so much f***ing bullsh*t everywhere"), becoming an evolutionist ("Whatever you do in your life, you have a mission, and it's up to everybody else to have the intelligence to understand that, and that's how you can help another person"), her idea to eliminate the usage of tombstones worldwide ("If you think your grandpa is this tree, maybe in the future you wouldn't just pass it by"), and much more.
