Leh, December 28 :Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, began his day in Mundgod with an audience with the Gaden Tri Rinpoche, the supreme head of the Geluk tradition. During this, CEC Gyalson made a mandala offering and received blessings from the revered spiritual leader, marking a spiritual start to his visit.

Following this, he met with the students of Drepung Loseling Spituk House (Spituk Khangtsan), where a grand morning meal was hosted in their honor by Spituk House. CEC Gyalson then had the privilege of meeting His Eminence Bakula Rinpoche, who presented him with a Thangka of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, along with other auspicious gifts. Their discussion focused on the administration of Spituk House and the academic progress of its students, with a particular emphasis on addressing challenges in education and administration.

The day continued with a visit to Gaden Shartse Monastery in Drepung, where CEC Gyalson engaged in discussions with the resident Khen Rinpoche and treasurers (Chagzot) about improving the quality of education and addressing the challenges faced by students. His visit then took him to Loseling Monastery and Rato Monastery, where similar discussions were held with the treasurers, focusing on finding solutions to the difficulties faced by students in their academic and administrative journeys.

At noon, CEC addressed the Ladakhi students enrolled at Drepung Monastery at the Ladakh House of Gomang Ngari. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of overcoming challenges in education and administration, encouraging students to work together for positive change. A lavish midday meal was then hosted in his honor by the Drepung Gomang Ngari Lineage Preservation Association. During the event, the venerable former abbot of Gaden Shartse Monastery, Kyabje Geshe Lobsang Gyaltsen Palzangpo, presented Adv. Gyalson with a sacred image of Shakyamuni Buddha and other auspicious gifts. They continued their discussions on improving educational standards and addressing student concerns.

In the afternoon, Adv. Gyalson visited an old age home in the settlement run by the Central Tibetan Administration, where he provided financial assistance and spent time with the elderly residents. He then proceeded to the Palden Sakya Sutra and Tantra Dharma Center Monastery, where he met with the treasurers (Chagzot) to further discuss educational and administrative issues affecting students.

CEC visits continued with tours of several student residences, including the Ngari Lingsed Student Residence, the Ngari Likir Student Dormitory, and the Drepung Gomang Thiksey Student Hostel. At each location, he held productive discussions with students and representatives, focusing on resolving the challenges faced by students in their academic and administrative lives.

In the evening, CEC Gyalson met with students from the Likir House of Loseling Monastery. A grand feast was hosted at Likir House in his honor, during which he was presented with a Thangka of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and other auspicious gifts. The discussions focused once again on addressing academic and administrative challenges and finding solutions to improve the student experience.

To conclude his visit,CEC Tashi Gyalson expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the representatives and staff of the Ladakhi monks and nuns in Mundgod. He also shared photographs marking the successful completion of his visit, reflecting on the meaningful conversations and productive discussions that took place throughout his time in the settlement.
