Star Citizen Evocati Crafting Test my First Impressions of What is Coming in our Near Future

Citizens, I rarely make a video on Evocati builds in Star Citizen. That goes to show you just how game changing crafting will be in the Star Citizen Universe. This is my first impression based on Elguapoes dedicated testing.

First and foremost Elguapoe went above and beyond testing this build. He did not buy a single mineral, he mined everything. I did not get to join him until the last two hours of his testing. At that point he had mined and refined the majority of the materials needed to craft FPS weapons, armor and ship weapons. First and foremost I want to point out just how important mineral quality is and what that means when crafting the items.

I cant stress this enough quality is everything. For weapons that can mean faster fire rate, less recoil, more projectile damage. These higher quality weapons clearly out preformed store bought weapons of the exact same type. This also applies to all ship weapons across the board. When it comes to armor you get more damage protection as well as better thermal protection.

When crafting goes live, mining in Star Citizen will be more important than ever before due to ore quality. Knowing the hotspots of where to get certain minable minerals will be extremely important. I can’t stress that enough. You have to understand you're not just looking for that mineral, you're looking for it in its highest quality. Minerals can go up to 1000 which is the very best.

Finally when it comes to those crappy minerals like aluminum, tungsten, titanium and iron stuff like that are extremely common crafting components needed for many of the items we will be crafting. With a sprinkle of rare minerals like Janalite, stileron, riccite, savrilium, and quantanium. This means every single minable will have value and will be worth saving in your local inventory for future crafting. Especially those of very high quality.

Sadly some of the blueprints required at least one of the new minerals that could not be refined yet in the Evocati build. Those two minerals were Aslarite and Ouratite. We were not able to craft any items that required those two minerals. I’m sure that will all be sorted in the PTU at some point.

So Hawkes, what is your opinion on how crafting will affect Star Citizen's future. The very best way I can describe it is fundamentally game changing Citizen! I can personally see myself doing a Star Citizen crafting best start video where I start with nothing then craft my way to absolute glory. One thing that would take that to the next level would be person to person secure trading. So I’m very hopeful that might be a thing in our near future. As I feel it goes hand in hand with the actual crafting itself....
