If you move fast, you break things and you build breakable things. The speed and flexibility which is so important in early development can have long-term costs in maintainability. On the other hand, moving slow and steady may mean you fall behind your competitors. In this talk I'm going to discuss some of the ways we've decided on these tradeoffs at Formlabs, and the effects those decisions have on ongoing product development.
