Mental health well-being in India is considered taboo and such a sensitive matter is ridiculed and ostracised by society due to the societal structure. It is a conundrum that a culture known for spiritual wellness views mental health as a taboo.
Unspoken is a narrative sensorial textile installation with the idea of de-stigmatising, starting a conversation, and educating the masses on the importance of mental health well-being. It explores how textiles can facilitate healthy expression and healing in mental well-being. Unspoken tries to reconnect with human emotions through the engagement of mind and body and allow the audience to interpret a story of their own.
