I had heard about these pies so much but can't every remember eating one. I didn't want to just take a recipe and try to figure it out so I zoomed in my sweet Aunt Frances to walk me through it. Her son Jerry also makes the pies so he helped walk me through it too. It was so much fun! But...the best part was tasting the pies! Oh my goodness, they were so good! I even used coconut sugar and it melted in my mouth.
Unfortunately Aunt Frances passed away recently so my cousins and I decided to make the pies in memory of Aunt Frances and all those who ate the pies before us. Enjoy!
