Attorney Gloria Allred and her client, Jenna Talackova, who advanced to the finals in the Miss Canada competition, which is part of the Miss Universe Pageant, held a news conference today in Los Angeles, CA. Ms. Talackova was recently forced out of the competition when Pageant representatives alleged she was not "a naturally born female". At the news conference Ms. Talackova discusses her feelings about being suddenly excluded from the Pageant competition and Ms. Allred discusses why Jenna should be permitted to compete and what action she plans to take in the United States on behalf of Ms. Talackova if the Miss Universe Pageant refuses to change its discriminatory rule.
