JASP Lesson 17 Reliability and variable recoding

Описание: Before combining variables into a scale, one should make sure that all the variables are correctly coded in the same direction (e.g., if the scale measures depression with high scores indicating greater depression, then all the items should be scored with higher scores indicating greater depression). Reliability analysis can be used for this check, and JASP makes it easy to test the reliability of reverse-coded items. The video also shows how to reverse code an item without the JASP tool--so that students understand how the tool works.
