Rachel Myrick is the Douglas and Ellen Lowey Assistant Professor of Political Science at Duke University. She completed her PhD in Political Science at Stanford University in 2021, where her dissertation won the Merze Tate Award from the American Political Science Association and the John McCain Dissertation Award from the Munich Security Conference.
Myrick researches the domestic politics of international security, with an emphasis on how polarization affects US national security policy. Her research is published at academic journals like International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and Journal of Politics.
Myrick’s first book, "Polarization and International Politics: How Extreme Partisanship Threatens Global Stability," is forthcoming with Princeton University Press in their Series in International History & Politics.
