A friend invited me to the National Thresher's Association annual reunion at the Fulton County Fairgrounds, just outside Toledo, Ohio. I've never seen so many steam-powered traction engines running in one place!
Join me as I explore the grounds, get a quick lesson on how these Industrial Revolution machines work, and see a couple of firsts for me - a steam-powered shingle cutter and a sawmill powered by two-separate, steam-powered traction engines!
It was an amazing day, with both historic machines and modern builds. As great as seeing it all was, having a LOT of people who love talking about their equipment is maybe even better. I'll definitely be going back again.
