Wiele wskazuje na to, że udało mi się podpatrzeć tarło moich pielęgniczek Eremnopyge. Dżamila wykopała jamkę pod korzeniem i zaprasza tam Abdula; Abdul wprawdzie za duży, żeby się tam wśliznąć, ale poradził sobie od zewnątrz. Rybki były tak zajęte, że nawet nie zainteresowały się śniadaniem ;) to mnie skłoniło do złapania za aparat.
Miałam wątpliwości, czy to na pewno tarło, jednak jakiś tydzień później okazało się, że samiczka opiekuje się młodymi. Co najciekawsze, ze swoją drugą żonką Abdul za parę dni też potańcował :P
It seems that I spotted my Apisto Eremnopyge spawning! Jamila dug a small hole under the driftwood and invited her husband Abdul. Although he is too big to slide in there, he made it from the outside. The fish were so focused on what they were doing that they were not interested in eating breakfast - that was the sign it's the time to grab my phone and capture this scene on video.
I wasn't sure whether they were spawning or not, but about a week later the female was tending her little fry. Moreover, Abdul spawned a few days later with his second wife also :P
