Hiking PRC 09 SMI | Cascata Salto do Prego | Sanguinho | São Miguel

Описание: This trip takes us along the PRC09 SMI to the Cascata de Salto do Prego and Sanguinho. Since the trip is short, we also extended it a bit along the PRC 11 SMI to Salto do Cagarrão, a second yet less busy waterfall.
This hike is as beautiful as it is popular and will offer you beautiful forrest views and opportunities to dip into the fresh waters of the stream.

The PRC 09 part is about 4 km long and has about 220m of altitude to cover. The extension to Salto do Cagarrao takes an additional 1.9km per direction, adding 3.8 km to your trip.

Make sure to head to the trailhead, as the direct search on Google Maps for Cascata do Salto will lead you to a road without access to the trail.

This is a short hike, but if you are looking for hiking trips on Sao Miguel, we highly recommend it. It is popular for a reason.
