A copy of a VHS documentary Diego Rivera: The Age of Steel, a documentary on his mural in the Detroit Institute of art that I believe was published around 1990. I found this in a Goodwill and found no publication of it anywhere and I figured many people would enjoy seeing this rare footage. NO COPYRIGHT INTENDED ONLY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE.
Reverse Cover Notes: Diego Rivera (1886-1957), one of the leaders of the of the Mexican Muralist Movement, was commissioned to decorate the walls of the Garden Court of the Detroit Institute of Arts in 1932. Part one of the EMMY award-winning is in black and white. It includes actual motion pictures of RIvera and his assistants at work on the frescoes. The technique is described in detail. Part Two, in color, examines the finished frescoes. Diego Rivera's own writings provide the basis for the commentary. The muralist considered the Detroit Industry frescoes as the more successful work of his career.
