TWO YEARS Aged Ribs - Unique Meal with Lijiang Friends (plus 'ShuHe' Ancient Gardens)

Описание: This was our first full day in Lijiang, thanks for joining us in China!

Part of a pretty massive trip exploring in Yunnan, there's probably never been a time in my life when I had more 'first-time ever' experiences.

People, locations, natural scenery, and of course the amazingly diverse examples of local food here as well, I think Yunnan (and specifically Lijiang!) is a must for any travel/trip to China.

This morning's activities were enough to be an entire video on their own (see that video here (LINK)), I hope you enjoy that one as well.

Afternoon, we rented some bikes in Lijiang town from a shop in the "GuCheng" District (Merida Bike Shop, on a main road) and rode about 15km northwest of town to the ShuHe village and gardens.
This is where we met one of the more beautiful husky dogs I have ever seen (and I was the 'selfie' photo prop for several tour groups), and we walk around enjoying the gigantic flowers, and amazing mountain views.

Riding back to town, going to meet up with our friends, we take a quick break to enjoy just a few more minutes looking up at the 4,000-5,000 metre peaks (including the unbelievably jagged and gorgeous YuLong ShuiShan Mountain, over 5,500m high).

For dinner, we visit a famous local restaurant ("折折火锅店 (‘Zhe Zhe Huo Guo Dian’), and eat the 'LaPaiGu,' the 2 YEARS "Farmhouse Preserved" Yunnan-style ribs, one of the meals you absolutely have to try when you visit this part of China.
