This webinar will help participants understand the relationship between intellectual disability and mental ill-health, approaches to assessing and managing mental ill-health in people with intellectual disability, and key adaptations to clinical practice that will assist in optimal care for this group.
This webinar is suitable for clinicians and other professionals working with adolescents and young people in mental health services, primary care settings and other areas of health and human services.
Presented by Professor Julian Trollor, Chair, Intellectual Disability Mental Health; Head, Department of Developmental Disability Neuropsychiatry; and Professor, School of Psychiatry, University of New South Wales.
Julian Trollor is a neuropsychiatrist who works as a researcher and clinician with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He works with the health services and State and Federal governments to improve capacity to deliver psychiatric services to people with an intellectual disability.
