1. The people - the creative, generous and kind people that make up this hobby/community!!!!
2. Affordable options that make fountain pens accessible and available even on a budget!
3. The "side roads" we can take like ink art, dip and glass pens etc.
4. The benefits to slowing down and writing by hand ... a feeling and state of mind that writing and ink splashing gives!
5. Small businesses and creators of all types we can support ... us supporting each other!
6. INK ... one of my favorite loves in the hobby! Choices and vast array of colors.
7. Resources for learning almost anything you need to learn in the hobby! Free and generously offered.
8. Discipline -- something I unexpectedly realized I was practicing more in this hobby!
9. Inky challenges, writing prompts .... art .... community projects (Instagram and You Tube) things that we can participate in and/or enjoy seeing what others discover.
10. Challenge. Always something you can work on learning. You can take up nib tuning do ink studies and experiments. Even old pros will find much to keep occupied with.
