Описание: Berita travelled to her home country Zimbabwe for a live performance and took the opportunity to shoot the visuals for the single Yours during this visit.

The music video is shot between the enchanting Victoria Falls and her home town Bulawayo. The music video opens with a nature scene, birds chirping, you hear the roar of the Zambezi river as it rushes over the cliffs to form the Victoria Falls. Nicknamed Mosi oa Tunya which means ‘The smoke that thunders’ you see the billowing clouds of mist. Berita watches this in awe and so the song begins.

In various performances shots Berita adorns around the famous baobab big tree. To alude to the lyrics ‘travelled all the seven seas then I discovered you,’. We chose the Victoria Falls as a location because it is one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

The second location is the the railway museum located in Berita’s hometown Bulawayo. Here Berita triumphantly sings and dances to the chorus ‘I just want to be yours, yours you are mine’ with the back drop of a clear blue sky. We also see the iconic Bulawayo towers in the background which interestingly during the time we shot the video were in the news about two of them being demolished due to ageing beyond their design life. I wanted them in the video so they could serve as a memory of the old should they ever be demolished.

Unknown and unrecognised faces cameo in the video. These people are happy going about their daily order, kids play in the streets in the afternoon after school, adults fend for their families through menial jobs, young people are in school hoping to one day graduate and find better employment. Life is going on. We also wave the Zimbabwean flag in the video. Zimbabwe once revered as the breadbasket of Africa has crumbled politically and economically right before the eyes of the world. Berita seeks to spread a message of hope, love and positivity with a belief that one day Zimbabwe will return to the days of glory again.
