What are the differences between the short shaft and long shaft ePropulsion eLite?

The long shaft version is a few pounds heavier than the short shaft. The long shaft version also has a longer tiller. ePropulsion has made upgrades to the transom bracket. It is stronger overall, has an improved mechanism for adjusting steering friction, has a more secure trim pin, and allows you to lock your steering with a pin. And, of course, the shaft is longer and has four adjustable lengths: 17", 18.6", 20.2", and 21.7". The short shaft eLite is adjustable between 11.1", 12.7", 14.3", and 15.8".

Everything else about the two motors is the same, including the battery capacity, propeller and charger.

Correction: The eLite transom bracket replacements include the bracket itself and the part that it attached to on the motor, which is attached to the motor with machine screws. Therefore, if you are ordering a replacement, there is no need to check to see if it is the old or new style.
