In this video, we cover the complete Order 15 of the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC), which deals with the disposal of a suit at the first hearing.

Order 15 empowers the Court to decide a suit at the very initial stage when there is no real dispute or when the case can be decided on admissions or available documents.

Rules Covered:

Order 15 Rule 1 – Parties not at issue
If there is no dispute on any question of law or fact, the Court may immediately pronounce judgment.

Order 15 Rule 2 – One of several defendants not at issue
If one defendant has no dispute with the plaintiff, judgment may be passed against that defendant, and the suit may proceed against others.

Order 15 Rule 3 – Parties at issue on some questions
If the Court finds that the matter can be decided on admissions or documents, it may pronounce judgment without full trial.

Order 15 Rule 4 – Failure to produce evidence
If parties fail to produce evidence without sufficient cause, the Court may decide the suit forthwith.
