Using traceability systems to meet regulatory compliance requirements

Therefore, the need to provide a guarantee of authenticity to overseas consumers is paramount. SIA has been leading a traceability initiative aimed at assisting exporters in navigating the complex global regulatory environment while boosting efficiency and ensuring compliance requirements are met.

In partnership with OpenSC and several Australian seafood businesses, the project piloted proof-of-concept digital components designed to:
Streamline Administration: Reduce the need for manual data extraction and report preparation.
Improve Data Integrity: Minimising errors typically associated with manual processes.
Enhance Audit Preparedness: Providing transparent, interconnected data for verification.
Improve Operational Insight: Consolidate disparate data points for more effective management decisions.
