So one of the most deadly rigs that there is around shallow targets is a wacky rig.
#MustadFishing has a brand new hook that I really like.
So if you're gonna fish around any type of cover, I want a weedless option.
So this is the new apex.

It's got a floor carbon weed guard to it.
I've got a little number two Iron Ray here and then I've got a straight king K B D wacky tool and an ocho.
It's one of my favorite baits.
You don't have to use an OING or anything, but I like to use one.
It makes the, the baits last a lot longer.
So just put an O ring on the bait and I've got it tied on a 72 K B D spinning rod braided line with a floor carbon leader and just put that underneath the O ring.
Reen, engage the weed guard and you are ready to go.
So, you know, that's it right there.
I mean, there's a lot of different ways you can do a wacky rig.
A lot of different hooks and things, but,, this little hook right here I mean, it's super sharp, you know, with that weed guard, I mean, it just collapses like nothing so it keeps it weedless.
But as soon as you get a bite, I mean, you're just, your hook ratio is just basically 100%.
And, and with that oing on there, it's gonna make that ocho, last a really long time.
I can get multiple fish catches on one bait, but very simple rig.
You know, you can Nico style, you can add some weight to it if you want.
I've got a wait list right now.
I'm throwing around some shallow grass and, and reeds and stuff out on this flat.
And if I had an open exposed hook, you're just not gonna be able to, to get that bait through there, it's gonna just be hung up all the time.
And you, you know, you wanna have that come through there clean this way, you get the best of both worlds.
