In this vlog I talk about a much more serious topic than usual — mental health and suicide in Pattaya.
While living here in the so-called “Land of Smiles” in Thailand, it’s easy to assume everyone is happy. But the reality is that many people are struggling.
I discuss a tragic incident involving a man I briefly met here in Pattaya — another guy called Matthew — who later jumped from a condo balcony. The story really affected me and made me reflect on how common mental health struggles can be, especially for people far from home.
In this video I also open up about my own experiences with mental health, and talk about why it’s important to speak honestly about these issues instead of pretending everything is perfect.
This vlog is about awareness, honesty, and reminding people that not everyone who looks happy is actually okay.
