On Friday, October 3, at 8:17 a.m., over 25 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (#MDFR) units responded to reports of a two-story apartment complex fire near the 2100 block of Ali Baba Avenue.
Units found smoke and flames coming from the roof of a two-story apartment complex and quickly began a fire attack to extinguish the fire. Due to the need for additional resources, the call was upgraded to a #SecondAlarm fire.
The second story of the structure was compromised, shifting firefighting efforts to a defensive attack, with units applying water from the exterior. This included utilizing ladder trucks to attack the fire from above.
Fire crews were able to put the fire out, with no reported injuries. Unsafe Structures was notified, and the cause of the fire is under investigation
