In today's video, I give you my top 3 "Scoring Bombs" ready to blow up your PPG! These simple basketball scoring tips are super easy to implement for players at every level. By implementing these basketball scoring tips into your game you can almost immediately skyrocket your shooting scoring and your overall basketball skill level while increasing your points per game average by 5-10 points!
My first "Scoring Bombs" ready to BLOW UP Your PPG is to set mini-goals! This tip seems obvious but so many players never truly accomplish what they want to on the court because they aren't making a concerted effort to implement and execute on the goals they have when it comes to basketball. I tell all my players that train with me to set small mini-goals for every game! This gives the basketball player a baseline of things they should be thinking about and doing out on the court! This tip alone will not only make you a better basketball player, but it will also make you a better teammate because you are doubling down on the things you are good at whether that means setting goals for rebounding, passing, or scoring. Make sure to implement some mini-goals for yourself and watch your points per game average skyrocket!
My second "Scoring Bombs" ready to BLOW UP Your PPG is to manipulate on the catch! This is another way to make sure you are able to get your defender out of position without even putting down a dribble. The reason why this is such a helpful scoring tip is that by getting them out of position early it's easier to create massive separation since you still have your dribble live. The best ways to do this is to hit your defender with a hard jab step, pass fake, or a pump fake! Guys like Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry do a really great job of this, being patient on the catch and making the defender give them a top foot. Manipulate on the catch and I promise you will score more points while blowing up your scoring average!
My third basketball combo move is the cross jab spin. This is a move that is tailor-made for a smaller guard. Think of guys like Kyrie Irving and Chris Paul. They both do a great job of utilizing the cross jab spin to pin the defense on their backside while they try to get in the lane for an easy shot. The cross jab alone is a super cool combo but adding the spin will really break your defender's ankles.
My last "Scoring Bombs" ready to BLOW UP Your PPG is to play attack and react basketball! Playing this way on the basketball court has some huge advantages because no matter how the defense plays you you will always have an answer! Think of the top scorers in the NBA they never predetermine what they are going to do in a certain situation. Basketball is such a fast-paced game that if you play that way you are way more susceptible to turnovers and taking bad shots! However, if you play attack and react basketball you are far more likely to have a better all-around basketball skill level because you are not just specializing in one thing! If you really want to take your game to the next level and play like the top scorers in the NBA you must learn to play attack and react basketball.
