Описание: Sadly, sharks, this size are extremely rare due to pressures on their populations due to the demand for a shark fin soup, and also because of the high amount of by catch in industrial commercial fisheries which supply the majority of seafood to larger commercial, grocery and restaurants. I don't think a lot of people realize that when they go to a restaurant and order a fish or they go to a grocery store and purchase a fish that they are actually supporting the killing I'm so many other marine species. Statistics show that for everyone targeted fish that they catch they kill 9 to 12 other animals, and those include sharks, sea, turtles, sea birds, dolphins, seals, and sometimes even whales. Because of the amount of fishing gear, I have cut off of living suffering marine animals, and how many I've found dead wrapped up in line I am a vegetarian. I don't wish to push my lifestyle on anyone, but I think that people should be aware of the impacts of their consumer choices because I know there are a lot of good people out there who would prefer to not harm marine life like sharks, sea, turtles, sea birds, dolphins, seals, whales, etc and ocean ecosystems.
The demand for a shark fin soup does come from China but countries all around the world, kill sharks and ship things to China so if you can help to stop the supply chain by getting Shark finning banned in your country, and getting the shipping companies to refuse to ship the fins, that can go a long way. If you're in or from an Asian country if you can please how to translate information into local media and networks to raise awareness about the toxicity of consuming shark meat and shark fins, and about the importance of sharks in ecosystems, and the decline in their populations affecting fisheries.
