Year 2025 - It was an absolute surprise as well as delight to capture a derated Sabarmati WDG-3A 13453 powering BTPN rakes towards Goa. In my whole experience of train spotting in last 12 years, this is the very first time i have captured an oil tanker train with a single ALCo locomotive. Earlier it has always been with either EMD locomotive or twin ALCo locomotives.
Minutes earlier, the LHBfied 16586 Murdeshwar - SMVT Bengaluru Express crossed behind a WAP-7 locomotive and crossed with this BTPN train at Udupi Railway station.
