Jason Clare ‘made it clear’ international student caps are about migration

Описание: Education Minister Jason Clare has made it clear the government’s international student cap is about “migration”, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

The federal government has defended its international student cap plan following pushback from the university sector.

“I’m very much left with the impression here that this is part of the deal: he puts on the caps but as a result, there is more money for domestic students,” Mr Clennell said.

“There has been some debate about whether the government is arguing this is about migration and housing or whether it’s about the quality and standard of our universities.”
