Описание: As we travel through southern Colombia, our journey suddenly speeds up.
Partly because of safety concerns in the region, partly because our vehicle insurance has expired, we decide to head south faster than planned. Still, along the way we make a few unforgettable stops.
We visit the colorful indigenous market in Silvia, spend time at a well-known overlander meeting point, and continue towards Ipiales near the Ecuadorian border. There we explore the breathtaking Santuario de Las Lajas, do some necessary truck maintenance, and prepare for the border crossing.

This episode is about the realities of overlanding: changing plans, listening to local advice, paperwork challenges, and finding beauty even when you’re in a hurry.

Join us as we wrap up our time in Colombia and cross into Ecuador — the next chapter of our journey begins.

We’re a family who chose a different path: more time together, less stress. Since spring 2021, we’ve been living full-time in our expedition vehicle.
In June 2022, we shipped our camper from Europe to Canada and embarked on our Pan-American overlanding adventure. We travel slowly, embracing the freedom, beauty, and unpredictability of life on the road.
