Actress Rita Moreno wore the same dress to the Oscars Sunday (04MAR2018) that she wore to the Academy Awards in 1962, when she won an Oscar for "West Side Story."
Moreno says it was time for her gown to make a comeback. She reminisced about that night over 50 years ago, explaining that she never thought she would win.
"I flew in from Manila where I was making a movie and I was making a really crappy World War 2 movie, playing yet another native girl, crazy - and then I came here never dreaming I would win because Judy Garland was up for playing a dramatic role the first time in a movie so I was sure she was going to win but I didn't want to miss the chance in case and I had this dress made by a person in Manila, the name of Jose Moreno, no relation and I kind of hope he's watching tonight and he gets to see this extraordinary dress again."
Jane Fonda said it's always special to be at the Oscars but she said she does have a favorite moment.
"I guess the time I picked up an Oscar on behalf of my father (actor Henry Fonda) for 'Coming Home.' That was very special for me and I've won it twice and it's always special to be here."
Eva Marie Saint reminisced about her favorite Oscar moment:
"Oh, when I won it," she said. Saint accepted her Oscar trophy for Best Supporting Actress for 1954's "On the Waterfront."  She was pregnant and gave birth the day after taking home her trophy.
"Everybody knows it, but I said, 'Thank you, I'm so excited I may have the baby right here and I did the day after.'
And Star Wars' Mark Hamill said of his favorite moment, "I have to tell you, to be honest with you, it's much more relaxing and enjoyable to watch at home in your pajamas."
