The Spanish law prescribes 3 types of wills:
open;
closed;
holographic.

Who Can Sign a Will?
A will in Spain can be signed by Spanish citizens and foreigners.

However, foreigners can sign a will in Spain only when they own assets located in this country.

Legislation
Spanish wills can be drafted and signed in accordance with the rules of the European Union's Regulation 650/2012.
