Senior rescue dog hit by car downtown lives happy new life with foster mom

Описание: Ruby is a senior dog who was found alone on the streets of Downtown Dallas. She looked like she had been hit by a car, and had a collapsed lung, internal bleeding, and a pelvis that was knocked out of place. Because she was an at-risk senior dog, she would have quickly been put down by the shelter if Dallas Pets Alive had not intervened. Jenny Wolff, Ruby's new foster mom, took Ruby in, and Ruby's pelvis actually popped back into place and healed on its own! While Ruby was at first unable to walk, now she runs up and down the stairs and truly enjoys her new home. You can hardly even tell she's a senior dog, she's so full of energy!

About Dallas Pets Alive

Dallas Pets Alive's primary goal is to one day make all of North Texas No-Kill. Their adoption team works to find perfect homes for all of the pets in their foster care. They believe that adoption is not only the right thing to do, but THE thing to do.

Mostly run by volunteers, and all of their pets are housed by dedicated foster families throughout North Texas. They rescue and help the healthy and treatable pets at greatest risk for euthanasia at their partner shelters. They also provide assistance and resources to pet owners having problems so significant that they need to surrender their pets to a shelter.
