Clenney, a former OnlyFans creator/model, is charged with second-degree murder in the April 2022 stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, inside their Miami high-rise apartment. Clenney has maintained that she acted in self-defense, claiming she threw the knife during a violent argument.

February 22 Hearing
This motions hearing addressed several key evidentiary issues ahead of trial, including disputes over expert witnesses and recorded evidence. The court ultimately denied a defense motion seeking to exclude a prosecution expert witness. The judge also ruled that several recordings made by the victim without Clenney’s knowledge would be suppressed, while allowing other recordings made in areas such as the apartment lobby and balcony where there was no expectation of privacy.

December 5 Hearing
Pretrial proceedings focused on pending defense motions and scheduling issues as both sides continued preparing for trial.

December 18 Hearing
Additional motions and arguments were addressed as the court worked through key legal issues that will shape what evidence the jury will ultimately hear.
