Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is building a new campus at Grangegorman in the heart Dublin city which will bring all of the existing colleges together in one location for the first time in 125 years. The award winning plans for the new development at Grangegorman incorporate a major education and health campus, as well as sport, recreation and other public amenities. This is one of the biggest building projects in the Irish State and work is already underway.
DIT has a proud history of contributing positively to our society and our economy. We aim to play a significant part in Ireland's recovery and in bringing about change. In 2012, the government confirmed its commitment to the development of the new DIT campus at Grangegorman and there was full planning approval for the award-winning plans for the campus. Work has started on the site and in September 2014, we will welcome the first 1,000 students on campus and by 2017 that number will have grown to 10,000.
